What Is Community Leadership?

Leading a social group requires a special kind of person. It is certainly not the kind of person that you find in the political or military realms. Rather, community leaders are the people that blend in. They are the people that we can’t be seen.

Until they speak.

When they talk, you listen. When they act, you follow their lead. They inspire you to move past your fears by showing you what’s possible. They are confident in their vision of the world, even if it doesn’t conform to today’s reality. Finally, they lead by example and action, rather than wait for other do move.
