Let’s say you’re writing a blog about sleep and its influence on overall health. To boost the relevancy of your page in google’s eyes, you should link to blogs or pages that are related to the topic you’re covering.

Maybe a Naturopathic Doctor has a piece about sleep hygiene and another nutritionist has written about pre-bed routines for better sleep. You also found a blog about foods that can have an adverse effect on someone’s circadian rhythm.

By linking to those competitor pages from your blog, you’re showing Google that all these blogs talk about the same stuff. You’re increasing your post’s relevance by linking to other people’s work.

On top of this, you’re also creating positive relationships with other professionals in the industry. If you write good content, they might want to link back to your work in the future. Here’s more relevancy for you.

In addition to that, you can also make a small “related articles” section at the bottom of each blog where you link to 2 or 4 of your own blog articles that are related to the topic covered.
