How to write a teaser article for your featured blog

When you write for someone else’s blog, it’s always a good idea to create a short blog on your website that will encourage your readers to go and check out your featured article. It will improve both sites’ SEO (search engine optimization) and make them rank better on Google.

Below, you will find a template you can use to best structure your teaser article. I’ve also written a concrete example based on a guest article that Krista Parr, RHN at Root To Fruit Nutrition wrote for our Holistic Workshops blog.

Guest Article Teaser Template

[Title] **Use a slight variation of the original post’s title**

[Teaser for the article] **Avoid copying the first 3 paragraphs of your article. Make the reader want to read the article by giving just enough info on what the article is about. Keep it short and sweet. 50-100 words is a good length**

[Intro of the host blog] **Give your readers an idea of who you’ve written for and what they/their site does and stands for**

[LINK TO THE ARTICLE] ** Use the exact same title as your original post*

Guest Article Teaser Example

**The name of this blog is “Nourishing Female Fertility: Food for Thought when Preparing for Pregnancy”. Here’s a concrete example for the teaser blog**

The Importance Of Food And Lifestyle Choices When Trying To Conceive

Infertility is an important topic. Today more than ever before, we are exposed to toxic factors in our environment that can dramatically affect our chances to support a healthy pregnancy.

What choices can we make to increase our likelihood of conceiving a healthy baby? What foods should we eat to improve our health and lay the best foundation to give life?

This week I’m excited to share with you my featured article on the Holistic Workshops blog. Holistic Workshops hosts a calendar that lists holistic nutrition events across Canada and a blog written by many qualified holistic nutritionists (like me!). I’d love it if you’d visit and check it out!
